1. What This Website Is

This privately run reference resource is independent of every government office. We neither keep official criminal records nor obtain records, conduct official background checks, or submit filings on a user's behalf.

Readers are directed to the Linn County sheriff and courts, Oregon State Police CJIS, the Oregon Sex Offender Registry, and third-party tools that may support personal research. Oregon Public Records Law, ORS 192.311 through 192.478, governs access to nonexempt records of public bodies. Disclosure of Oregon criminal-history information by OSP is separately controlled by ORS 181A.220 through 181A.245.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

• Use bots, scraping software, or other automated methods on these pages
• Violate federal, Oregon, or local law through your use of the resource
• Interfere with availability, performance, or another visitor's access
• Use information to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
• Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or restricted area
• Rely on site content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Do not use information obtained here or through a linked service to stalk, intimidate, harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may be a crime. ORS 163A.215 and ORS 163A.225 specifically govern access to and misuse of Oregon Sex Offender Registry data. That information exists for community safety, never retaliation or vigilant action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Under the FCRA, we are not a consumer reporting agency. No background check, credit report, or other consumer report is produced here. Our advertising partners and this resource do not offer tools meant to evaluate applicants, renters, insurance risk, or credit. You must not use information from these pages or linked tools to:

• Set an insurance premium or assess creditworthiness
• Choose whether someone should be hired or dismissed
• Make any other decision covered by the FCRA
• Evaluate a prospective tenant or housing applicant
• Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit

For a background check required for a regulated purpose, go through an authorized Oregon State Police CJIS process or a provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is general information, not legal advice. It cannot resolve how an Oregon set-aside rule, warrant, charge, or conviction affects an individual matter. Seek advice from an Oregon-licensed lawyer.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are offered "as is." No warranty promises that:

• A partner's search results will be complete or correct
• The resource will remain available without interruption
• Information is always current, complete, or accurate
• The pages contain no bugs, errors, or security weaknesses

Charges may be filed or dismissed, and records may later be sealed or set aside. Reporting gaps and update delays can occur. Nothing published here constitutes an official statement by a sheriff, court, or other government body.

Links lead to court portals, sheriff pages, Oregon agencies, legal-aid resources, and outside search services. Those destinations operate beyond our control. We are not responsible for their availability, fees, content, or data practices. Review the destination's terms before proceeding.

8. Intellectual Property

Linn County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, code, graphics, and logos. Prior written permission is required to copy, alter, adapt, or distribute them.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from use of the resource, including reliance on information obtained here or from a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, demands, or proceedings caused by your use of the site or violation of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Oregon law. A dispute arising from site use must be brought before a court located in Oregon.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revised version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be suspended, restricted, or terminated at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, every remaining provision continues in force. The affected language will be modified only to the minimum extent needed for enforcement.
