Linn County Arrest History
Linn County sheriff's deputies, Albany Police, Lebanon Police, Sweet Home Police, Oregon State Police, and other authorized agencies create their own incident and arrest records. If custody follows, Linn County Jail creates a separate booking file. The District Attorney later chooses whether to file charges, and the court opens a case only if a charge reaches it.
Each source has its own clock. Fingerprints and arrest-event data can reach Oregon State Police CJIS while the prosecutor and court are still processing the matter. A fresh jail entry may therefore have no court case. A court case can remain after release, while the live roster removes people who are no longer in current custody.

Linn Jail Booking Details
A roster detail can list date lodged, arresting agency, scheduled release date, charge description, docket, court, security, and status. The docket field may be a police-agency number rather than a court case number. A blank release date or status also should not be interpreted beyond what the field says.

Medical, housing, victim, and full personal-identifier data are not part of the public roster. A fee schedule mentioning a photo for identification does not guarantee that staff may release one.
Request Linn Sheriff Records
The sheriff requires a written Request for Copies of Records. Authorized staff review each item and may redact or withhold active-investigation, victim, juvenile, security, or private material. Narrow requests take less search and review time. The base law-enforcement report fee is $12 for the first 25 single-sided pages, then $0.25 per extra page. Media begins at $10 for the first 15 minutes, with more processing and redaction billed by time.

Staff invoice the final amount and contact the requester before proceeding when added cost is expected. No fixed turnaround should be assumed for a complex or heavily redacted file.

Booking Logs and Recent Arrests
Linn's current roster updates several times daily and publishes text details without a mugshot gallery. The change took effect when Oregon HB 3273 restricted publication of booking photographs on January 1, 2022. Photo removal did not seal the booking record. Other releasable custody facts remain available through the roster or a reviewed request.
Once a person leaves the current list, order the $10 booking sheet for that defined episode. Date every lookup and note whether the result came from the dynamic list or a saved agency response. Release does not mean dismissal, and continued custody does not mean conviction.
City Arrest Reports Stay Local
The incident narrative belongs to the agency whose officer made the arrest. Albany Police records route through the city's dedicated police request. Lebanon offers online and PDF police forms. Sweet Home accepts its own police form and email route. The county jail can document booking, but it does not replace those city reports.

When Linn Court Has No Case
A court search may be early, misspelled, declined by the prosecutor, or never filed. Check aliases and the arresting-agency number, then ask Linn Copy & Archives to search by party name. Its form allows unknown when a case number cannot be found. Do not force a jail docket into a court-number format.
OSP's name-based Open Record is another layer. It costs $33, is Oregon-only, and requires the subject's full name, date of birth, and current or last-known mailing address. It reports arrests from the preceding year when no disposition has arrived and older conviction information within the product's legal scope. A 14-day subject notice process means it is not a real-time arrest log.
Arrests Are Not Convictions
The arrest record proves that an agency recorded an arrest or custody episode. A conviction requires a court judgment after a plea or verdict. Compare the records before drawing a conclusion.

Linn Arrest Records Reach OSP
Booking staff take identifying information and fingerprints during jail intake. Arrest-event data moves through Oregon criminal-justice systems to OSP CJIS. Courts and agencies report later outcomes. The result is an event-based repository history assembled from several sources, not a copy of the Linn County jail screen. Timing and scope differ, so the same event may look incomplete in one channel.

Linn Sheriff's Civil Division provides appointment-only ink cards in Courthouse Room 317 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. A booking charge can change after the District Attorney reviews the police report. The court may file a different count, dismiss a count, or never receive a prosecution. Preserve the roster date and compare it with the later register and judgment.
